Submission is a Mission
God is so great that I decided six years ago to surrender my will and give my life to the Lord. This was the best day of my life. The deeper and closer I got to him and into his word my will started to dwindle. But to be honest the hardness part was fasting. I wanted to eat what I wanted I already lost everything. How will I survive x amount of days without meat, cookies and ice cream. Yummy. As selfish as it sounds it’s true. Then one day revelation hit me. He did it for me. He gave up his will so that I could be free.
Todays challenge will be focusing on submission? Why is submitting so hard? Why is submission so important to God? What does submission truly mean? In the words of my brother in Christ I’m glad you asked. Your substituting something for the purpose of the mission but greater than that because he first loved us. Jesus said I come to do the work of my father and literally that’s all he focused on. 1st God then purpose. The relationship meant more to him then his own likes or desires. What can we learn from Jesus as a woman. We can learn a lot but for the sake of my time. Im going to point out one thing which will tie in with today’s challenge.
John 13:14-17 He instructs His disciples: If I then, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one anothers feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Wow! It was humility there are two many chiefs but not enough servants. It has been said too many times that woman are competitive, head strong etc. But I believe if you are willing remain pure and submit to God you will learn from this act. Can you imagine how smelly there feet might of been or better yet knowing that someone secretly wants you to die or fail and still wash there feet. In other words fed them, love them, teach them and care for them. If you can’t its time to follow the patterns of our savior.
Challenge today: Pray for the one that hurt you are hurting you. Apply by writing in your journal a letter to them if your ready you can hand it to them. Finally, I need one person to volunteer to help me with monitoring the group during this time if that’s you send me a message.
